The first day in Animal Craft sets the foundation for everything that follows. Spend it wisely and you will have a secure base, basic tools, and enough food to survive the first night. Here is the priority order.
Punch trees immediately. Wood is the most versatile early resource in Animal Craft, used for tools, building blocks, and fuel. Gather at least 30 wood blocks before doing anything else. That gives you enough for a crafting table, basic tools, and the frame of a small shelter.
Build a shelter before nightfall. Nocturnal predators in Animal Craft are significantly more aggressive than daytime animals, and without walls between you and them, surviving the first night is a coin flip. Even a simple four-wall box with a door is enough to keep you safe.
Craft a weapon before exploring beyond your spawn area. A wooden sword is cheap to make and turns encounters with small predators from dangerous to manageable. Without a weapon, even a single wolf can end your run before it really begins.
Domesticate chickens early. They are the easiest passive animal to manage in Animal Craft, and they produce eggs that solve your food problem with minimal effort. Build a small fenced area near your base, lure two chickens inside with seeds, and you have a sustainable food source.
Expand your base outward rather than upward in the early game. A wider footprint gives you more interior space for crafting stations, storage, and animal pens. Vertical building looks impressive but wastes materials that are better spent on functional structures during the survival phase.
Explore in a spiral pattern from your base. This ensures you always know the way home and gradually reveals the map without leaving dangerous blind spots. Mark your base location with a tall pillar or unique block so you can spot it from a distance if you wander too far.
